Vishaya works as a Trainee Associate Banker at SBI (Mauritius) Limited. She holds ABE Level 5 and 6 diplomas, which allowed her to become an MQA-approved trainer and a lead trainer at NPCC. She recently completed her MBA specialised in Hospital Administration.

Here is Vishaya's story:

''I am the eldest daughter of my family. I am from a middle-class family of three children. I am currently married and a mother of two children aged 5 and 6.

I currently work as a Trainee Associate Banker at SBI (Mauritius) Limited.

I previously worked at the Food and Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (FAREI) as Management Support Officer in a registry that provides administrative assistance to finance, procurement, and human resource departments. F

With my ABE Level 5 and Level 6 (2 certificates), I was able to become an MQA-approved trainer and I had the opportunity to become a leader trainer at NPCC for the national leadership engine project.  Moreover, I got an Indian scholarship under E-VBAB project with affiliation to a local university namely Open University.  I have just completed my MBA with a specialisation in Hospital Administration and I am looking forward to a better career scope and pursuing my Ph.D. or looking for another Ph.D. scholarship.  I also have my testimonial featured in my JSS Academy of Learning and Research.  In addition, I am also trying to complete my Chartered Management Level 7 diploma with CMI to become a Chartered Manager.

I started working at the age of 19 as I was the eldest and at that moment tertiary education was quite costly and jobs were in demand.  Moreover, I underwent a small fire incident in my last year of higher school certificate which made me take a small break from my studies since I was still under trauma.  Nevertheless, with the zeal to learn more and become proficient and being an optimist and determined person, I started looking for tertiary courses and I came across Sagittarius Centre that was advertised in journals.  The latter seems affordable and I started doing ABE Level 5 in Human Resource Management and Level 6 in Business and Human Resource Management.  I even tried to complete ABE level 7 and secured two units.  Post that I took a break and then in 2020 I applied for an MBA scholarship which I got thanks to ABE academic qualifications.

I like interacting with my staff and local people and I had the opportunity to case study the modules I was learning under ABE levels 5 and 6 as well as an MBA with specialisation in Hospital Administration.  I was able to take my study and vacation leaves to complete my examinations and dissertation.  Farei has always supported me in fulfilling my academic pursuits.

I would encourage other youngsters to pursue ABE qualifications up to Level 6 if they want to succeed in their career since they provide worldwide acclaimed qualifications and the last level can help you to get direct entry to a Masters degree program.''
