Membership
Membership of The Institute of Leadership provides a host of benefits that can support your professional development and career trajectory well beyond your programme of study (you can see more details of membership benefits at the bottom of this page).
From July 2024, registering for an ABE qualification will also include one year's FREE studying membership of The Institute of Leadership.
How this works
IoL memberships are dispatched three times a year around March, May and November. You will receive your membership automatically in the dispatch following your registration.
After one year, you can upgrade your membership for a further year at £75 - a special price for ABE learners. With your upgrade you will receive additional benefits such as MyMentoring, full access to MyCareers, and gain digital credentials.
When you graduate with an ABE Level 5 or Level 6 qualification you are entitled to join IoL at the prestigious status of Member, and this entitles you to use MIoL after your name.
Past alumni can also join IoL for the special ABE price of £75 for their first year.

MyLeadership is an online learning experience made up of 3 distinct parts – MyLeadership Development, MyLeadership Profile and MyLeadership Opportunities. A flagship 49-component digital platform which provides learning and development tailored to your needs.
You will have access to a condensed version of MyCareers which includes a CV checker and CV review. After one year, you can upgrade your membership to receive full access, which includes CV management, personality tests, job searches, career insights and business skills, plus access to thousands of curated online leadership resources and business courses to keep your skills bang up to date!
