''I am from Myanmar and currently live in Thailand trying to study hospitality and my ABE qualification at the same time. My family consists of my parents and my sister who has always been very instrumental in ensuring that I continue with my studies. I have a strong interest in business and tourism, which motivated me to combine these fields in my education.
I chose ABE because it offers internationally recognised qualifications that equip students to tackle real business environments. The courses offered by ABE meet my desire to establish myself in the hospitality and tourism industrial sector. It offers flexibility, affordability, and practical knowledge, which makes it ideal for students like me who want to develop strong business skills while pursuing other areas of interest.
I’m currently studying my ABE course online through Business Institute Yangon based in Myanmar, allowing me to study while living in Thailand.
In Myanmar, ABE is well recognised by employers. It is regarded as a route to be exposed to enhanced business competencies and information that addresses global markets. ABE is beneficial for employers because it develops strategic thinkers and articulate young professionals who are eager to work.
Once I finish the ABE qualification, I want to find job openings in the hospitality industry, especially in management or operation posts. The qualifications and information I have acquired from ABE development will assist me in applying strategic expertise in organisations and at the same time acquire exposure.
The best thing about ABE is its practicality and focus on business fundamentals. The course materials are comprehensive, yet easy to understand, and are designed to apply directly to real-world scenarios. Additionally, ABE’s global network provides opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and gain insights into international business trends.
I will say that these are skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and leadership that I got from ABE studies. These skills are vital in hospitality with specific reference to managing customers and other business issues. It has also helped develop a strong capacity for analysing business data and formulating sound decisions that are applicable in the field.
My tip for a successful study is that in business or any other field, it is necessary to remember that discipline and adequate organisation are the key factors to success. Develop a schedule for the study and follow it. It is better to grasp the content than cram it up. Engage with ABE and the resources available which include online library and learning materials and an extensive webinar programme. Finally, remain eager to learn from real-world practices of the material being taught.
My long-term goal is to manage or own a luxury hotel or resort, combining my hospitality experience with the business acumen I’ve developed through ABE. I also hope to contribute to the tourism industry in Myanmar by promoting sustainable practices and creating memorable guest experiences. ABE’s emphasis on strategic thinking and leadership will play a key role in helping me achieve these goals.''
