How to become an ABE learner

There are two simple steps to studying for an ABE qualification:

Step 1: Decide which qualification you wish to study.
If you are undecided Business Management is a good place to start because you get an all-round grounding in business and with ABE you can easily opt to add in a particular discipline at a later stage.  Click here to find out more about our qualifications.

Step 2: Choose a centre (or college) and enrol on their next ABE course. Click here to find a study centre near you.

We strongly recommend learners work with an accredited centre.  Most centres will support people who wish to work at their own pace and offer flexible arrangements which will fit around other commitments. Plus you will have the support of an experienced and qualified ABE tutor and this will give you the greatest chance of working successfully through your assessments.

We do not normally accept assessments submitted directly to ABE if you are registered with a centre.  Nor can you switch to private learner status part way through a qualification.

No centres in my country

If your location makes it impossible to access an accredited centre, you can register for an ABE Diploma as a self-study or private learner.

Please note, ABE Level 4 120 credit Diplomas required timed exams which are normally hosted by centres so you would need to join at Level 5 or enrol for the Level 4 Foundation Diploma,  Register, pay your membership and book all your assessments direct here via our secure online portal hosted by Convera GlobalPay.

Learners are normally expected to submit assessments via their centre. Private learners are emailed with details about how to submit assessments shortly before the deadline.

The Institute of Leadership

From July 2024, registering for an ABE qualification will also include one year's FREE studying membership of The Institute of Leadership. Find out more here: https://www.abeuk.com/leadership
