ABE Myanmar Graduation Ceremony 2024 Summary

ABE Myanmar hosted a spectacular graduation ceremony for around 800 guests and dignitaries. The event was  an unforgettable celebration of achievement for all who attended. Here's what took place:

Date & time: The ceremony took place on 25 October 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Attendance: We had over 800 attendees, including distinguished guests:

  • Ms. Sarah Deverall, Director of British Council Myanmar
  • Mr. Rob Kindness, Sales Director (Asia Pac, MENA, and UK)
  • Mr. Ian Fox, CEO of the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar
  • Daw Cho Cho Toe, Committee Member of Myanmar And Britain Association
  • ABE lecturers, heads of institutions, graduates, parents, and invitees.

Certificate presentations: The following 218 certificates from ABE and the University of Hertfordshire (UH) were awarded:

  1. Future Entrepreneur of the Year 2024
  2. ABE top-paper winners & their respective lecturers
  3. Level 3: 19 graduands
  4. Diploma Level 4: 89 graduands
  5. Diploma Level 5: 72 graduands
  6. Diploma Level 6: 27 graduands
  7. Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Administration (UH): 11 graduands

Ms Sarah Deverall also presented “UK alumni badges” to 63 UK alumni graduates who could not attend.

Closing remarks: Ms Thinzar Aung delivered a "Thank you" speech on behalf of the graduands, having completed her ABE L5 & L6 Diplomas and BA (Hons) at UH. Mr Suren Verma, Director of ABE South East Asia-Pacific, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and shared upcoming programmes for 2025.

Conclusion: The ceremony ended with numerous photograph sessions, celebrating the graduates' achievements. The event was a remarkable success.
