ABE Kenya hosts conferences and stakeholders' dinner

The ABE team in Kenya, led by Country Manager Bonface Kamau and joined by Sales Director Kereesa Carrington-Nunez, hosted a series of high-profile events last week and wanted to thank all the stakeholders who have taken part and lent their support to make them such a success.

Events kicked off with Club students showcasing an impressive range of business ideas at the ABE Clubs Conference in Mombasa.  The guest of honour was Hon. Kame Mbwarali, the Mombasa County Minister for Education and it was attended by high school students, ABE centres JIPS and Memon College, ABE alumni, Top Paper winners and careers counsellors. Winners were awarded trophies and shopping vouchers sponsored by Excel Global College.  

This was followed by a similar event, and an equally impressive range of business ideas, hosted by Samaj School in Nairobi. Club students, learners, alumni and Top Paper winners from ABE centres Samaj, Oshwal and Excel attended along with careers advisors. 

The events culminated with a spectacular ABE Stakeholder dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel.  This was attended by Kenyan regulator KNQA, Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, a representative of Bungoma County Governor, deputy governors from: Nairobi County Government, Kilifi County Government & Trans-nzoia County Government, Minister for Youths and Gender Affairs at Mombasa County Government, principals from ABE Centers in Kenya, NGOS providing youths empowerment or entrepreneurship for start-ups in Kenya, KENAPCO (Kenya National Association of Private Colleges), Outstanding ABE alumni namely: Aleem Akbari, the General Manager, Finance & Operations at Zamara Insurance and Edith Wangare, co-founder and chief steward, Arielle Roaring for Africa Ltd shared their stories to inspire the next generation of ABE learners.
