Postgraduate Diploma Accreditation

Colleges must complete an application process involving completion of the application form, a college fee payment and, where appropriate, an accreditation visit.

Applicant colleges must hold existing accreditation from ABE, prior to completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management application form, in order to be considered for accreditation to deliver the level 7 programme.

ABE has a duty to ensure that those entrusted with the delivery of the programme are aware of the requirements upon them and that they are suitably qualified to deliver the programme.

Under no circumstance should a college advertise this ABE programme without accreditation from ABE specifically for the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management; our website will list colleges accredited to run the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management separately from the accreditation of other courses.

Student entries will not be accepted from colleges who are not accredited to deliver the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and students will be advised accordingly.

Criteria for accreditation


ABE will consider applications on the basis of competencies such as:

  • Recognition/accreditation from the relevant ministry/regulator in the college’s country of location.
  • Currently accredited by ABE (note that new applicants will need to obtain this before applying for the separate Postgraduate Diploma accreditation)
  • A successful history of delivery of ABE courses (measured via consistent recruitment and pass rates)
  • A minimum of one year’s experience of delivering the ABE Advanced Diploma
  • Delivery of other internationally recognised professional courses, at an equivalent level to the Advanced Diploma, if the applicant college has not delivered ABE courses previously
  • Delivery of degree level courses
  • Staff appropriately qualified to deliver a level 7 course

  • Complete the form.
  • Print out and enclose it with the relevant fees and enclosures.

Colleges new to ABE and wishing to apply for delivery of the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, must complete the standard accreditation process before applying to run the Postgraduate Diploma.
